Tax exemptions
Updated 10 October 2026 y. • v1.3.0
A tax exemption frees you from being charged a specific tax for the period it is in effect. On the "Taxes" page, in the "Tax exemptions" card, your exemptions are collected.
How to add an exemption
- In the card, click "Add an exception";
- Choose an exemption from the list (those in effect today are shown);
- Specify the start date (required) and, if needed, the end date;
- Save.
An exemption is taken into account in a month's calculation if it is in effect on the 1st day of that month: the tax it relates to is not charged for such a month. If the start date falls in the middle of a month, the exemption takes effect from the following month. If you added or changed an exemption, recalculate the months that have already been calculated.
An exemption can be edited or deleted in the action menu in the list.
Which exemptions exist
Currently the system has exemptions for OPVR:
- a person who has reached retirement age;
- a person with first- or second-group disability (indefinitely);
- a military serviceman and an employee of special state and law-enforcement bodies, and a person whose right to hold special ranks and wear uniform was abolished from January 1, 2012;
- a recipient of length-of-service pension payments;
- a judge of the Constitutional Court or a retired judge receiving a monthly allowance;
- a person born before January 1, 1975.
Automatic exemptions
If your profile has an IIN, the system determines your date of birth and gender from it and adds exemptions itself: reaching retirement age and being born before January 1, 1975. Automatic exemptions are recreated every time you change the IIN in the profile (with the start date "today"); exemptions added manually are not affected. Add the other exemptions that depend on your status manually.
Exemptions belong to the account owner. An Employee's profile does not affect them.
