Bar membership and license

Membership and license are filled into Notices of protection, Contracts, AVRs and reports. Without them the system will not generate a document and will tell you what is missing.

Membership

Open Profile → Professional information and click the "Change affiliation" button. The form is filled in step by step:

1. Role — lawyer or legal consultant;
2. for a lawyer — the bar association, then the legal consultation (branch) or the law firm; for a consultant — the chamber of consultants;
3. the start date.

The list below keeps the history of membership: the organization, start date and end date.

• A new membership automatically closes the previous one with a date one day before joining;
• the chosen organization determines your role in the system: choosing a bar association makes you a lawyer, choosing a chamber makes you a legal consultant, and the account name changes to " ";
• you can't be a member of a bar association (consultation) and a chamber of consultants at the same time.

The lawyer's license

1. Open Profile → Settings, the "License Information" block;
2. Click "Add license";
3. Enter the license number and the date of issue (not later than today) and save.

Spaces in the number are removed automatically, and the number must be unique. You can edit the license in the action menu next to it.
