Court Cases

Managing Court cases

Updated 10 October 2026 y. • v1.0.0

While working you may need to change the data of a Court case, complete it or delete it. The main actions are described below.

Editing the data

You can change a Court case's data on the Court case list page:

  1. in the row of the case you need, open the action menu (three dots) and choose "Edit";
  2. make the required changes;
  3. click "Save Legal case".
Note:
The result and the dates of the court act are entered separately, with the "Add result" button on the case page (see the article "Case results and appeal deadlines").

Court case statuses

The status reflects the current state of the proceedings. You can't choose it manually: it changes automatically depending on your actions.

  • Created — the initial state when the case is created.
  • In progress — the Court case has been taken into work. The status changes automatically when an Issue or information about a hearing is added to the case.
  • Completed — the proceedings are over. The status is set when the case is completed (see below).

Completing a Court case

To complete a Court case, open its page and in the menu (three dots) click "Complete the Legal Case".

The system will check for unfinished Issues:

  • if there are Issues, the system shows their list and offers to complete them automatically or to cancel the completion for a manual check;
  • if there are no unfinished records, the case gets the "Completed" status.

Deleting a Court case

Attention:
Deleting is not recommended because it leads to the loss of historical reporting. A completed Court case can't be deleted.
  1. On the Court case list page, open the action menu (three dots) and click "Delete";
  2. confirm the action.
Note:
Deleting permanently deletes all related records: Reasons, participation information, Issues and comments. The data can't be restored.
